Currently, digital media understood as software, videos, images, web pages, social networks, files, video games, electronic books are the most common form of use for consultation, entertainment and communication of millions of people around the world. The use of peaceful communication within digital media is an issue that requires addressing and educating due to people's lack of skills to communicate peacefully in the real and digital worlds, triggering violence in both. This work aimed to review the current state of cyberbullying in Mexico, reflect on the communication style that prevails in young Mexicans in digital media and peaceful communication through the theoretical and empirical review of studies. The results showed that cyberbullying in Mexico is suffered by more women than men in a range of 20 to 30 years, the presence of a predominant avoidant and aggressive communication style, the assertive one is conditioned to catastrophic events and young people with values. It concludes with the need to implement campaigns for the appropriate use of digital media through formal control guidelines, attention, supervision and limits of the family towards young people, training in non-violent communication skills and empathy using virtual reality as tools and high fidelity programs as strategies to modify belief systems and favor the creation of peaceful societies.
