The most important global challenges are addressed by macro-strategies such as the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development Goals, with the aim of building societies with economic, social and cultural growth. Peace research is a key factor in achieving these goals, by providing the theoretical and practical tools to address the structural and cultural causes of conflicts and promote the stability necessary for sustainable development.
