The objective of this article is to present an analysis of the educational offerings at the master's degree level in the field of Peace Studies as part of the relevance study for the creation of a new Master's degree program in Culture of Peace at the Autonomous University of Querétaro. It had a qualitative documentary research design that identified, reviewed and classified information on programs at three search levels: countries in other continents, the American continent and Mexico. It was carried out through secondary sources of information in the Google search engine and university web pages. The results of the main characteristics are presented: country or city, university name, program name, sector (public or private), orientation (professionalizing and/or research), modality (classroom, virtual or mixed); central themes of research and/or application of knowledge; and, subject categories of 10 programs in 10 different countries of the world; 10 programs in the American continent with main presence in Colombia and the United States and 14 programs in Mexico. It is concluded that the supply is related to the issues that most concern each country. In Mexico, it is located in states where there are high rates of violence. The state of Querétaro does not offer master's degrees in Peace Studies, despite the recent accelerated increase in violence; therefore, the benchmarking carried out supports the creation of the first master's degree that meets the training, research and intervention needs in the areas of peace, conflict and violence.
