Stories to Forget
Collective Autobiography To Evoke Peace
Keywords:
Collective memory, oblivion, Conflict, Peace, narrativeAbstract
In the last twenty years, Colombia has turned its attention to the recognition of processes of otherness from which the resignification of both individual and collective memory has acquired a special role in the construction of identity of societies within and outside their territories. From this perspective, the present research proposal implemented mediated strategies for the construction of individual and collective memory in three towns of Boyacá (Firavitoba, Pachavita and La Capilla) through the work with creative writing and radio production in order to strengthen departmental and national history. The proposal was developed through the narrative biographical method from a qualitative perspective, which allowed to weave a dialogue between the inhabitants of the mentioned municipalities, their stories of oral tradition, myths, legends, tales, and their relationship with the individual and collective memories of the territories. For the development of this project, it was necessary an interdisciplinary work that combined the pedagogical exercise with the communication and dissemination of these memories; therefore, this proposal was articulated from the Social Communication and Journalism program and the Bachelor's Degree in Humanities and Spanish Language of the Universidad Minuto de Dios - UNIMINUTO.
