This article makes an approach to the results of the research carried out within the framework of the project "Promotion of protective environments, based on pedagogical practices and artistic and cultural creation, as a social appropriation of knowledge for the interpretation and reconciliation around the phenomena social relations related to the armed conflict in Iracá (Meta)”, research that aimed to identify and analyze the places where the memory of the municipality of San Martín in the department of Meta (Colombia) lives.
This document will address the ways in which the historical memory of the municipality of San Martin de los Llanos has been consolidated and inhabited and its relationship with the legacies of regional violence, through the analysis of oral narratives and consolidated traditional art. in the region. In a first part, the conceptual references used for the interpretation of the reconstruction of the historical memory of the municipality will be exposed, later the methodology used will be mentioned, which is based on a qualitative approach of a hermeneutic cut, with a process of analysis of the information through three inductive categories (individual, social and historical memory), then the findings found on the narrated oral history and its relationship with the experience associated with the violence of the territory will be exposed, and to finalize some interpretative conclusions on the subterranean silences in relation to historical memory and traditional art as an alternative for reconciliation on the legacies of war.
