High performance team in the construction industry using mediation, as a method of conflict resolution

In this article, we present the types of conflicts present in the Construction Industry (CI), by various
factors, ranging from effective miscommunication, routine in working groups. For Mexico the CI,
represents an important industry for its growth in infrastructure, as in the contribution to its economy,
not to mention that it is an important trigger of work for its economically active population.
To accomplish the objectives set in this industry, it’s important to have a work team that believe they’re
part of the organization, with the confidence of being able to contribute in the solution of any conflict
situation during the integral processes of an edification.
For its personality the IC has it owned way of operating and it requires that their disputes can
be handled in an agile manner and with the confidentiality that allows once the conflict has been
transformed, continue with the goals of the comply to deliver the project in time. That is why, for the
industry, having Alternative Resolution Disputes (ADR) is of vital importance, since addressing their
conflicts through the traditional way of imparting justice can be deadly for a project.
It has to be considered that the impact of a conflict in this industry will not only generate economic
losses to companies in this industry, but may also result in the impact of occupational losses or in more
tragic cases, the lives of people of the community.
