Functions of the Editorial and Scientific Committee

Editorial Committee

It is the body composed of recognized teacher-researchers in the field of peace and conflict studies, affiliated with institutions in Mexico and with extensive research experience. Its primary function is to advise the editor-in-chief and co-editor in the editorial management of the journal, as well as to evaluate its performance and make recommendations for improvement.

Its functions are focused on:
- Designing the editorial policy in conjunction with the editor-in-chief
- Ensuring compliance with all editorial processes to guarantee the rigor and scientific value of the published articles
- Advising on the strategic planning of the journal
- Assisting in the assignment of referees
- Verifying and approving the issues published in the journal editions
- Approving thematic lines
- Issuing calls for article submissions
- Promoting the journal at events, conferences, and dissemination spaces
- Proposing topics for special issues
- Suggesting databases for the indexing of the journal.

Scientific Committee

It is the body of recognized researchers in the field of peace and conflict research, affiliated with foreign institutions, which has the function of guaranteeing the credibility of the journal. Additionally, it is responsible for continuously evaluating the scientific quality of the published content and advising the editorial committee on updating guidelines and editorial policies to contribute to the continuous improvement of publications.

The functions of this committee include:
- Participating alongside the editorial committee in formulating the editorial policy
- Advising the editorial committee on establishing quality criteria
- Inviting recognized members of international institutions to publish their articles in the journal
- Promoting the journal at events, conferences, and dissemination spaces.
